Woman killed in Geer Highway RV wreck

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A 72-year-old woman died in a crash involving a motor home on Geer Highway on Thurs., Nov. 1, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office .

The coroner said Elizabeth Nelson, of Marietta, was turning onto Geer Highway from River Falls Road in a Subaru sedan and collided with the westbound motor home in the intersection. 

The crash happened around 3:10 p.m.

Nelson, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner's office said.
