Woman killed in Duncan Chapel Road wreck

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A 77-year-old Greenville woman was killed Tuesday morning in a two-car wreck on Duncan Chapel Road, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.

Marian Willard Blackwell was turning from White Empress Drive onto Duncan Chapel Road when her vehicle was struck by a motorist traveling east on Duncan Chapel Road, Greenville County Coroner B. Parks Evans said. Both vehicles left the roadway after colliding, with Blackwell's vehicle striking a large tree before coming to rest.

Blackwell was pronounced dead on the scene, Evans said.
