Travelers Rest man dies days after wreck

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A Travelers Rest man died Monday from injuries he sustained in a traffic collision Saturday night. 

Billy-Joe Simpson, 33, was involved in a wreck near U.S. 276 and U.S. 25.

Following the crash, Simpson was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he died on Monday from blunt force trauma injuries, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office. 

The wreck is under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner's Office.
