Kathy Moore named Chamber's Businessperson of the Year

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The Greater Travelers Rest Chamber of Commerce presented Greenville Heritage Federal Credit Union's Kathy Moore with the annual Businessperson of the Year award on Tuesday night at Green Valley Country Club.

The award was presented by JJ Martin, vice-president at United Community Bank, the award's sponsor.

Moore, who has been with Greenville Heritage for more than 18 years, said her business philosophy centered around building relationships within the community.

"I believe that serving the community through business is essential for any business to grow," Moore said. "A sense of community allows this big, big world to become smaller and more intimate."

Recent winners of the Businessperson(s) of the Year award include Joyce and Nancy McCarrell (2017), Andy O'Mara and Loren Frant (2016) and Kem Theisen (2015).
