Travelers Rest man killed in northern Greenville County wreck

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A 55-year-old Travelers Rest man was killed Sunday morning in a single-vehicle car crash in northern Greenville County.

Walter Mucienko Jr., of Brooks Drive, was the passenger in a vehicle that left the roadway and overturned on Warehouse Drive near the intersection of Bates Bridge Road around 1:30 a.m., according to the Greenville County Coroner's office.

Mucienko died at the scene from blunt force trauma injuries sustained in the crash, coroner B. Parks Evans said.

The case is currently being investigated by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office and the Greenville County Coroner's Office.
