Daniel Bruce named to be new Travelers Rest High School principal
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Daniel Bruce was named to be the new Travelers Rest High School principal, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Bruce, a 1995 Travelers Rest graduate and a member of the school's Athletic Hall of Fame, will replace Lou Lavely, who is retiring at the end of this year after serving 17 years as principal.
Bruce has worked for over fourteen years with Greenville County Schools as a teacher's aide, middle school teacher, and in administration. He served as an assistant principal at the high school level at Berea and Hillcrest High Schools. He completed the Assistant Principal Institute in 2014 and has served as the principal of Greer Middle School for the past three and a half years.
