Bill Robertson, 87 - Greenville

William “Bill” Robertson, Jr., 87, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late William B. Robertson, Sr. and Zadie Batson Robertson. Bill was a US Army Veteran of WWII, a self employed service station owner in Greenville County and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Marjorie “Margie” Shirley Robertson; 3 daughters: Renua (Richard) McEwan, Donna (Oscar) Estes and Elaine (Wayne) Williams; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Bill was predeceased by a son, a sister, 2 brothers, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral service will be Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel.

Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.
