Travelers Rest man arrested on child pornography charges
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A 35-year-old Travelers Rest man has been arrested on child pornography charges, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced on Tuesday.
Wilson said Bobby Justin Smith faces ten charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor. Investigators assert that Smith distributed and possessed files of child pornography.

Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office made the arrest. Investigators with the Attorney General's Office and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), both also members of the state's ICAC Task Force, assisted with the investigation and arrest.
Smith was arrested on February 19, 2019. He is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count; and eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
Attorney General Wilson said all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
