Two dead following collision in Marietta
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Two people are dead following a collision in Marietta on Saturday night, according to troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on Dacusville Highway near Shipman Road.

Troopers said an SUV traveling east ran off the side of the road and over-corrected, crossing the center line before colliding with a westbound box truck.
A 19-year-old female passenger in the SUV died at the scene. The coroner's office identified her as Michaela Lynn McKittrick, of Travelers Rest.
The 21-year-old male driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital, where he later died. The coroner identified him as Adam Charles Hewit, of Marietta.
The 70-year-old driving the box truck was injured and also taken to the hospital.
