3rd annual Keith's Memorial Toy Run & Car Show set for Saturday

SLATER-MARIETTA, S.C. – Now in its third year, the annual Keith's Memorial Toy Run and Car Show are set to take place on Sat., Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the (former) Hometown IGA parking lot in Marietta.
The event serves as a holiday fundraiser to benefit those in need, and riders should bring a new, unwrapped toy (or a $10 donation) as their entry fee. Proceeds and gifts will be distributed to local families by Slater-Marietta-based Foothills Family Resources.
"My father used to say 'Start at your home and work your way out from there'," said Chrissy Taylor, who helps to organize the event each year in her father's name, adding that she feels he would be proud knowing they are giving back to the community.
Hoyt "Keith" Graham, who passed away in 2019 from colon cancer, was an avid rider and participant in area toy runs, Taylor said.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. Kickstands up at 11:30 a.m.
New this year will be the addition of a car show. Awards will be given out for 1st and 2nd place.
Music will be provided by The Remington Cartee Band, who will be on stage from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Video below.)
Raffles will also be held throughout the day. (Area businesses: To make a raffle donation, please contact Chrissy Taylor at the number on the flier below.) Non-riders can make toy donations as well.
