Photos: Travelers Rest HS Spirit Week raises more than $35K for 'Let There Be Mom'
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Travelers Rest High School students raised more than $35K during this year's Spirit Week, it was announced during a ceremony on Friday afternoon.
A check in the amount of $35,730 was presented to Kipra Anderson, founder and executive director of Let There Be Mom. The organization works to preserve the legacies of moms and dads with life-threatening illnesses.
It was the second highest total ever raised and the highest in ten years, according to school officials.
