Adam's Mobile Market opens storefront in Travelers Rest

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Since 2014 Adam’s Mobile Market has been serving Travelers Rest and the Upstate at various mobile market stops and events, but chef and owner/operator Adam Sturm has had such a positive response and demand locally that he opened a storefront at 104 S. Poinsett Hwy.

Beginning with his mission of “connecting farms to families,” Sturm decided to leave full time service industry hours and devoted his time to bringing farmers market finds to those who may not have the means to visit the region’s many Saturday markets during the limited growing season. Sturm is able to provide fresh produce year round by partnering with farmers who grow not only the earliest and latest growing veggies, but those who grow hydroponically as well, so you can purchase gorgeous lettuce and basil even in the middle of winter.

Adam’s Mobile Market offers local seasonal produce, artisan honey and milling products, farm fresh eggs and meat, and chef created "Take and Bake" meals. Each grocery item is thoughtfully chosen and sourced from family farms throughout the Upstate and surrounding areas. Three different “Take and Bake” meals are offered weekly with an “Upstate Comfort Food” spin (think butternut squash mac & cheese and buffalo chicken quinoa bake). Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, Paleo, and Keto friendly meals are typically featured with rotating weekly menus.

At the new Mobile Market “Headquarters,” shoppers can also pick up grab-and-go snacks, single serve juices, fresh flower bouquets, and freshly chopped veggies. Paintings, handcrafted cutting boards, and other specialty finds created by local artists are also featured. 

In addition to the storefront, Sturm delivers orders on Thursdays and sets up outside the Roger C. Peace Center at Prisma Health every Tuesday evening. He also visits multiple senior living facilities and other businesses during the week and participates in various healthy living events and discussions.
