Harold Brookshire, 83 - Travelers Rest

Harold Wesley Brookshire, 83, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at his home.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Franklin David Brookshire and Annie Lou (Lee) Tereba. Harold proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, owned and operated his own carpet business, was a life member of the VFW and of the Baptist faith.

Harold is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patsy Lou (Odom) Brookshire; 3 daughters: Tammy Brookshire Marchbanks (Scott), Deborah Brookshire and Beverly “Sunshine” Hawkins; grandson: Aaron (Audrey) Hawkins; granddaughter: Linsey Marchbanks and great-granddaughter: Caroline Hawkins.

Along with his parents, Harold was predeceased by a granddaughter: Chelsea Hawkins; 2 sisters: Margaret Wilson and Edith McCoy; 2 brothers: Clyde Brookshire and Billy Brookshire.

A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, April 30, 2019 from 6 until 8 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
