Man killed in northern Greenville County motorcycle crash

CLEVELAND, S.C. — A 36-year-old man was killed on Tuesday afternoon following a motorcycle crash in northern Greenville County.

According to the Greenville County Coroner's Office, the man, whose name has not been released, was killed at about 2:15 p.m. near 8155 Geer Highway in Cleveland.

The coroner said the man was driving on Geer Highway when he lost control of the bike in a curve. He struck a guardrail and was thrown from the bike. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the coroner said.
