Travelers Rest NGU students win awards

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Two North Greenville University students from Travelers Rest recently received awards at an annual ceremony held on the North Greenville University campus.

Haley Burton was presented the Cline School of Music Outstanding Senior in Music Award. The award, chosen by the Cline School of Music faculty, is given to a senior music major who achieves the highest level of performance and academic excellence and maintains a GPA of 3.5 or better.

Justin Oates was presented The Mountain Laurel Editorial Leadership Award for his work on The Mountain Laurel, NGUs student-produced literary magazine. Oates excelled in every area of leadership from shaping the vision to executing the project with cover design, layout, and integration of visual and verbal content.

North Greenville University, located in Tigerville, S.C. at the foothills of Glassy Mountain, is a co-educational liberal arts institution which provides opportunities for higher education in a biblically sound Christ-centered environment.
