Benjamin Clardy, 69 - Travelers Rest
Benjamin Garland Clardy, 69, passed away July 4, 2019.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Garland W. and Leola Freeman Clardy. Mr. Clardy served in the US Army during Vietnam and received two Purple Hearts. He was a welder, and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-three years: Dorothy Painter Clardy; one daughter: Dee Dee Lynn Berryhill; three sons: Benjamin Paul Clardy (Michelle), Bryan G. Clardy (Alicia), and Jason D. Clardy; one brother: Lonnie Aaron Clardy (Kim); two sisters: Martha Ann Sweat (Tom), and Mattie Ruth Lipscomp; and eight grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one sister: Rachel Hooker; one brother: Steven Clardy; and one grandson: Jonathan Paul Clardy.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday in The Howze Mortuary Chapel. A private Entombment will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
