TJ Lazer and the New Detroits set to rock Trailblazer Park Saturday

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Trailblazer Park's inaugural “Music in the Park” series continues Saturday, May 17 with a performance by TJ Lazer and the New Detroits.

The Greenville-based, eight-piece band – complete with a horn section – blasts through covers from the likes of the Allman Brothers Band and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the group's original tunes combine rocking guitar riffs with the gritty vocals of lead vocalist Mike Carroll. Both are sure to get the crowd on its feet.

Other band members include Niles McCall and Abe Limbaugh on guitar, Blake Farmer on drums, Thomas McPartland on bass, Travis Hanson on keys, Derek Landers on trombone/percussion and Chris Hammond on sax.

The May 17 concert is free, as are all concerts in the Trailblazer Park music series. Food vendors and the craft beer stand open at 6 p.m.. The music starts at 7 p.m.

Trailblazer Park is located at 115 Wilhelm Winter St., accessible by Highways 25 and 276 as well as the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
