Updated: Travelers Rest man killed in Tigerville Road crash
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. —A driver was killed and a passenger was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Tigerville Road on Saturday morning, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.
The crash happened around 11 a.m. near the intersection of Belk Road, just south of Hwy. 11 when the man's pickup truck veered off the roadway, striking several trees.

The driver, identified as 61-year-old Michael Raymond Cox, of Travelers Rest, died at the scene, Greenville County Coroner B. Parks Evans said.
The cause and manner of death are pending an external exam, the coroner said.
