Lillie Mae Williams Garland Ivey, 90 - Slater-Marietta

Lillie Mae Williams Garland Ivey, 90, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014 at NHC of Mauldin.

Born in Greenville County, SC, on November 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Florence Allen Williams. Mrs. Ivey was a charter member of Hilltop Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone she knew.

Surviving are her 2 daughters, Patsy Renaker and her husband Gary and Brenda G. Camden and her husband Bill Mathews; 1 grandson, Millard Todd Camden and his wife Emily; 1 great-grandaughter, Chloe Camden; a special cousin, Ray Land and a special friend, Selba Blevins.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Ivey was also predeceased by her first husband of 50 years, Millard P. Garland; her second husband Harold N. Ivey and 2 brothers, Jay and Joe Williams.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at The Howze Mortuary chapel at 3 p.m. with visitation prior from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Burial will be private.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all of Mrs. Ivey’s guardian angels at NHC of Mauldin and Caris Hospice.

The family will be at the home of Ken and Linda Garland after the services, 105 Lipscombe Dr., Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
