Everette Simmons, 73 - Marietta

Everette Earl Simmons, 73, of Marietta, husband of the late Deborah McMakin Simmons, passed away Thursday October 3, 2019.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late A. C. and Willene Miller Simmons. He was retired from J. P. Stevens, former Assistant Chief of Slater Marietta Fire Department, and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his son: Jake Simmons; granddaughter: Kayla Styles; great-grandchildren: Brody Turner, Ella Turner; brother: James Simmons (Betty); sister-in-law: Mona Simmons; brother-in-law: Phillip Dewease; and many other loving family members.

Along with his wife and parents he was predeceased by his brother: Sam Simmons; and sisters: Doris Poole and Billie Francis Dewease.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, October 7, 2019 from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral services will be Monday afternoon, October 7, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.

The family will be at the home.
