South Carolina lieutenant governor recognized with Travelers Rest sign dedication

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Community members, family members and friends on Monday gathered for a sign dedication ceremony, recognizing Travelers Rest as the home of Pamela Evette, South Carolina's 93rd lieutenant governor.

The newly installed sign is located at the southern end of town on Highway 25/276.

The signage request was sponsored by S.C. Rep. Burns, S.C. Sen. Tom Corbin and S.C. Sen. Dwight Loftis.

Prior to her election as the first female republican lieutenant governor of South Carolina, Evette founded Quality Business Solutions, Inc., a payroll, human resources, and benefits services firm headquartered in Travelers Rest. In addition to being one of the nation’s fastest growing small businesses (Inc. 5000), QBS has also been repeatedly honored among the fastest growing and best places to work in the South Carolina.

The dedication ceremony took place at the History Museum of Travelers Rest.
