Registration open for Slater-Marietta Christmas Parade

SLATER-MARIETTA, S.C. — Registration is open for the annual Slater-Marietta Christmas Parade.

Scheduled for Sun., Dec. 8 at 3 p.m., registration is open to businesses, civic organizations, churches, animals, motorcycles, schools and individuals. The theme of this year's parade is "Come Home for Christmas."

The route will be the same as in years past; however, the direction of the parade will be reversed to start at the school, down Slater Road to Geer Highway, north on Geer Highway, and turning right onto Slater Street to return back to the school.

How to Register: Download an entry form here. The deadline for registration is November 30th. No registrations will be taken the day of the parade. An awards ceremony and reception with Santa will be held following the parade at Slater Hall Community Center. The Bank of Travelers Rest will be providing refreshments.
