Travelers Rest woman killed in Tigerville Road wreck

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A 64-year-old Travelers Rest woman was killed following a two-vehicle wreck in northern Greenville County on Monday.

The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Tigerville Road and Locust Hill Road.

Catherine Mills was airlifted to Prisma Health Greenville, where she died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.

Mills was entering the intersection from Tigerville Road when her vehicle was struck by a Chevy SUV traveling east on Locust Hill Road.

Both vehicles rolled down an embankment and hit several trees, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Investigators have ruled Mills' death as accidental.
