Loretta Southerland, 85 - Travelers Rest

Loretta Hendrix Southerland, 85, of Travelers Rest, wife of the late Clarence O. Southerland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, February 13, 2020, at Rainey Hospice in Anderson, SC.

Born in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Edmond and Ida Lee Bridgeman Hendrix. She retired from owning a daycare with a full heart of love and was of the Pentecostal Faith.

She is survived by a step-daughter: Gail Bolt (Gerald W.); four grandsons: Daniel “Boo Boo” Lockey (Tina), Scott Turner (Reba), Zach Bolt (Jessie), Kellen Bolt (T.J.); a granddaughter: Shasta Branch (Chris); and eight loving great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, February 17, 2020, from 12:30pm until 2:00pm at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 17, 2020 at 2:00pm at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.

The family will be at the home.

Memorials may be made to a church of one’s choice.
