Mary Shipman, 77 - Marietta
Mary Shipman, 77, of Marietta, widow of Garfield Elton Shipman, died Thursday, May 22, 2014.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Jason David and Cora Bryant Shipman.
Mrs. Shipman is survived by son, John Hart and wife, Joyce; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; brother, Charles Redding; and sister, Ruby Edwards.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Duff Shipman and wife Maxine.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 25, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will follow in Cleveland First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
The family will be at their respective homes.
