Zonia Mae Hawkins Poole, 92 - Travelers Rest

Zonia Mae Hawkins Poole, 92, of Travelers Rest, wife of the late Wilton Benjamin Poole, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 9, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 9, 1927 in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Young “HY” and Annie Mae Ferguson Hawkins. Zonia Mae retired from Greer Shirt Company and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed working in her yard and was always known for her beautiful flowers and well manicured lawn.

Zonia Mae is survived by her son, Junior Poole and wife Marie of Travelers Rest and her brother: Delmer Hawkins of Travelers Rest.

Along with her husband and parents, Zonia Mae was also predeceased by a son: James Wilton “Jimmy” Poole; brothers: Hubert Brine Hawkins and George Douglas Hawkins.

Graveside service and burial will be private at Mountain View Memorial Park in Travelers Rest.
