Helen Buckhiester, 92 - Travelers Rest

Helen C. Buckhiester, 92, of Travelers Rest, SC, widow of the late J.W. Buckhiester, Sr., passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Travelers Rest, SC, she was a daughter of the late John and Stella Rackley Child. Mrs. Buckhiester was retired from Bank of America where she worked in numerous roles of customer service and administration. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Northwest Baptist Church, she attended True Life Tabernacle.

Surviving are her two sons: Whit Buckhiester Jr. (Jan) and Scott Buckhiester (Donna); two grandchildren: Brett Buckhiester (Kira) and Christopher Buckhiester (Talina), a sister-in-law: Jean Child, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by two brothers: John F. Child and Robert D. Child.

A private family graveside service will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Travelers Rest, SC.
