Matthew Scott Campbell, 48, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sat., May 8, 2021.
Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of Jeannette Pennington Campbell and the late Ronald “R.C.” Eugene Campbell. He was a Travelers Rest Devildog graduate class of 1992, graduated from Liberty University Home Bible Institute, and was an ordained minister. He retired as an engineer from Parker District Fire Department, was a lifetime member of Forestville Baptist Church and a member of Renfrew Baptist Church.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife of 27 years, Michelle Jordan Campbell; two sons: Brandon Scott Campbell (Brooke) and Dawson Cole Campbell (Elena); a sister: Missy Rick (Derek); two brothers: Gene Campbell (Candie) and Dean “Dino” Campbell (Waynette); a loving grandson: Rowan James Campbell; and his beloved service dog: Selah Mae.
A visitation will be held on Saturday morning, May 15, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Forestville Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow the visitation in the church sanctuary at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.
Mr. Campbell will be honored by Parker District Fire Department and Greenville County Honor Guard for his dedicated service to the community and all first responders are welcome to attend the service.
