Bobby Joe Pruitt, 58 - Marietta

Bobby Joe Pruitt, 58, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014, at his home.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late John Cleveland and Evelyn Dockery Pruitt. He was employed with JPS Composite Materials – Slater for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is a sister: Kathy Faye Luther; brothers: James William Pruitt and Larry D. Pruitt; nieces: Brenda (Michael) James and Roseanne Reilly; nephews: Carlton (Valerie) Green, Jr., Titus (Lindsay) Green, Ernest (Jenilyn) Green and Jonathan D. Pruitt; great-nephews: Cameron Green, Ethan Green, Jay Jay James and great-nieces: McKenzie Pruitt, Brianna McCarson and Kaitlyn James.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Linda Gail Reilly.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral service will be Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel.

Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.
