Joe Cox, 76 - Marietta

Joe William Cox, 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 15th, 2021, at Elizabeth Hospice House in Flat Rock, NC.

Born in Marietta, SC, he was the son of the late William Harry and Caroline Cox. He was in The United States Army where he became a Disabled Veteran from the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Memory Lane Cruisers. He retired from UPS, working as a farmer and was a member of Cox Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia McClain Cox; a daughter: Tammy Cox Bridgman (Mark); a son: Joe W. Cox II; a sister: Judy Edwards (Bruce); three grandsons: Joe W. Cox III (Lindsey), Jacob Cantrell (Emily) and Zeb Bridgman; and a loving great-granddaughter: Lainey Grace.

Along with his parents, he is predeceased by a sister: Helen Nelson.

A graveside service will be held at Cox Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday morning, May 18th, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.
