Shyla Cox, 17 - Greenville

Shyla Alexus Cox, 17, passed away June 3, 2021, at her home.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of Clint Allen and Chasity Love Wilson Cox. Shyla was a Junior at Pickens High School and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers: Jordan Cox and Dylan Cox; one sister: Sacarie Bowerman (Lucas); maternal grandparents: James and Suzanne Upton Wilson; great-grandmother: Shirley Wilson: Aunts and uncles: Ruth, Eugene, Melvin (Donna), Jimmy (Stacey), Ben (Connie), Irma, Norma, and Louie; two nieces: Aria and Aleigha; and one nephew: Adam.

Shyla is predeceased by her paternal grandparents: James and Patricia Powell Cox; and maternal grandfather: Melvin Wilson.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 7, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, in The Howze Mortuary Chapel. The service will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/thehowzemortuary beginning at 1:50 p.m. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
