Peggy Jean Gallanthen, 88 - Travelers Rest

Peggy Jean Holloway Gallanthen, 88, wife of the late Albert Ernest Gallanthen of 47 years, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 6th, 2021, at her home.

Born in Robins, NC, she was the daughter of the late George Lester and Myrtle Pollard Holloway. She attended Parkway Christian Church in Davie, FL and owned a Photo Shop. She was a cosmetologist and was a member of Unify Church in Greenville, SC.

She is survived by a daughter: Charmaine Hajjar; a son: Johnnie Slate; two brothers: William Holloway (Deb) and Butch Holloway (Pat); 5 grandchildren: Johnnie Slate, Jr., Jessica Slate, Megan Slate, Ashley Hajjar and Nicolas Hajjar; 6 great-grandchildren: Dominic, Sara, Erik, Gabriella, Amelia, and Isaac.

Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by two sisters: Annie Ruth Dolce and Bobbie Nell; three brothers: J.D. Holloway, Jr. Holloway, and Ed Holloway.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning, June 11th, 2021, in Coleman Memorial Cemetery. The service will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/thehowzemortuary at 10:00 a.m.

If anyone wishes to send flowers for the service, pink was her favorite color.
