Family hikes offered at Paris Mountain State Park throughout summer

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Paris Mountain State Park will offer family hikes on most Fridays this summer. All hikes start at 10 a.m. and registration is required. Cost is $5 per person plus admission.
Creek Ranger Hike
The Creek Ranger Hike is a 1-mile, ranger-led walk to Mountain Creek and back, searching for animals and their homes. Participants wade into the creek and use a net to find animals that live in the water. Participants should bring water shoes if they have them, but the park has some available if needed. Social distancing is expected. The entire program is outside this year. All ages welcome!
Dates: 6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30, 8/6, 8/13. The cost is $5 per person, payable at the fee booth in place of admission. Registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

All programs begin at the picnic flats parking lot (the first lot on the left) at 10 a.m. and take approximately two hours.

Getting there:
Paris Mountain State Park is located at 2401 State Park Road. Summer admission is $3.50 for ages 6 – 15, $6 for ages 16 – 64, $3.75 for S.C. seniors and disabled persons. Children under the age of 5 are free.
