Margie Butler, 89 - Travelers Rest

Margie Robertson Butler, 89, wife of the late William “Bill” Butler, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 20th, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital – Downtown Greenville.

Born in Travelers Rest, SC, she was the daughter of the late Rex and Lila McAlister Robertson. She retired after more than 30 years as a medical secretary and was a member of Enoree Baptist Church, First Baptist of Travelers Rest and Berea First Baptist.

She is survived by two daughters: Teresa Butler Hammond and husband Jim and Mia Butler Walker and husband Gus; nine grandchildren: John Michael, Ashley, Joshua, Hannah, Emily, Lorraine, Caroline, Meredith, and Olivia; two great-grandchildren: Bentley Siau and Cassidy McMakin.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.at The Howze Mortuary.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. in The Howze Mortuary Chapel. The service will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/thehowzemortuary beginning at 11:50 a.m.

Masks are encouraged.

The family will be at the home of the daughter: Teresa Butler Hammond.

Memorial may be made to the Miracle Hill Children’s Home 411 Miracle Hill Rd. Pickens, SC 29671 and flowers are also welcome.
