William “Dud” Coggins,86 - Travelers Rest

William D. “Dud” Coggins, (Chow Chow Man),86, of Travelers Rest, passed away, Friday, September 3, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital-Downtown.
Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late James Alfred and Janie Trull Coggins. He was retired from Dud Coggins Drywall, U.S. Army veteran, and a member of Forestville Baptist Church. He was a loving and generous soul known to many.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years: Carolyn Scott Coggins; daughters: Debra Cisson(Bill), Camille Roach(Jeff); grandchildren: Justin Cisson(Tasha), Chloe Roach; and great-grandchildren: Iris Cisson, Mallory Cisson.
Along with his parents he was predeceased by sisters: Etolia Watts and Helen Wyatt; and brother: Larry Coggins.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 1pm until 2pm at Forestville Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 2pm at Forestville Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home.
The family wishes to especially thank the 8th floor staff at St. Francis Hospital (Frontline Covid Heroes) for their kindness and compassion.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
