Annette Benson, 85 - Travelers Rest

Annette Cecil Gary Benson, 85, of Travelers Rest, wife of the late Clarence Benson, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late W. G. and Alberta Gray Gary. She was a homemaker and a member of Water Of Life Christian Church.

She is survived by her sons: Anthony Gary(Vera), Sherman Johnson(Clementine); daughters: Linda Bowser(Clarence), Rita Hunt, Patricia Dollison(Flip); grandchildren: April Thompson(Jamie), Shell Gary; great-grandchildren: Shakeia Gary, Kemaiya Bailey, Jamie Thompson, Samaria Thompson, Shaniya Kinard, Amiya Kinard, Timothy Kinard; special grandson: Kyzer Thomas; brothers: Donald Gary, Ronald Gary; and sisters: Linda Belcher, Ruby Poole; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents she was predeceased by brothers: Wayne Gary, Frank Gary, Alister Gary; and sister-in-law: Beverly Gary.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 4, 2021, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 4, 2021, at 2:00 pm at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.

The family will be at the home of her son.
