Registration open for Travelers Rest Christmas parade

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Registration is now open for the annual Travelers Rest Christmas parade.

Scheduled for Sat., Dec. 11 at 10:30 a.m., the theme for this year’s parade is “Christmas in America,” and registration is open to businesses, civic organizations, churches, animals, motorcycles, schools and individuals.

Entry in the parade is $30 per entry ($15 for animals, $50 for vendors, additional entry fees may apply).

Of note, the parade route will be reversed this year, with lineup and staging to take place in front of George Coleman Ford and the main branch of the Bank of Travelers Rest.

First held in 1972, proceeds from the Travelers Rest Christmas parade go to support two local charities: North Greenville Crisis Ministry and Foothills Family Resources.
