Foul play not suspected after body discovered at Travelers Rest gas station

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Travelers Rest police said they do not suspect foul play following the discovery of a body at the Murphy USA gas station, located in the Walmart shopping center parking lot.

Chief Lance Crowe said employees discovered the body of a 20 to 30-year-old male in the station's bathroom around 3 p.m. Saturday.

“At this time, compelling evidence indicates that there is no foul play,” Crowe said.

The Travelers Rest Police Dept. and the Greenville County Coroner's Office are investigating, and we will update this story if more information becomes available.
