Travelers Rest HS Blue and Gold staff wins awards

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The Travelers Rest High School Blue and Gold newspaper staff recently won the following awards at the Spring Conference of South Carolina Scholastic Press Association:

• 1st place in Reviews: Matt Brencis

• 1st place in Photography: Joe Keller

• 2nd place in Art: Jackie Wiles

• 2nd place in Centerspread: Austin Bell, Makennna Jones, Katie Landreth and Jackie Wiles

• 2nd place in Features: Emily Huggins

• 3rd place in Editorials: Emily Williams

Additionally, staff members received a Superior rating in the overall newspaper evaluation.
