Greenville County Tax Office extends hours
GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville County Tax Office is expanding its hours of operation at County Square. Starting June 2 and continuing through August 29, the office will be opening a half-hour earlier.
County staff will be available to accept in-person payments starting at 8 a.m. instead of the usual 8:30 a.m.
“The summer is one of the busiest times of the year for foot traffic at our office. This is due to the large number of boats, motor homes, and automobiles purchased in the summer,” said Kevin Hunter, Greenville County tax collector. “Implementing these expanded hours hopefully will reduce waiting times throughout the day.”
The County will evaluate usage of the early start time, and determine whether or not this is a program that will continue, Hunter added.
The Greenville County Tax Collector's office, which closes at 5 p.m., is located at 301 University Ridge in Greenville.
Greenville County also provides the option of paying taxes online here.
