Travelers Rest featured in Budget Travel magazine

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Following Travelers Rest's fourth-place finish in Budget Travel's 2014 “Coolest Small Towns in America” contest, the city is featured in the current issue of the magazine.

“Nearby state parks and bike trails (including the legendary Swamp Rabbit Trail, which draws cycle-happy vacationers much of the year) basically invite you to stay outdoors all day long,” writes editor Whitney Tressel, adding that Travelers Rest's vibrant downtown is the place to browse for antiques, “sip perfect coffee” and “indulge in Southern faves.”

Travelers Rest was one of 15 cities vying for the top position in the final round of the “Coolest Small Towns” contest, which was won by Berlin, MD. This is the second year Travelers Rest has made it into the final round, but it was the first time the city broke into the top ten.
