GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating a Travelers Rest man wanted in connection with two separate incidents that took place in February of this year.
According to warrants, 35-year-old Jody Dale Gossett, of Boswell Circle, is charged with third-degree assault and battery, malicious damage, discharging a firearm into a dwelling, unlawful possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent felony, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.
Warrants allege that on or about Feb. 23 Gossett was arguing with a woman at her Loftis Road residence when he pushed her onto a couch and fired a sawed-off shotgun inside the home, causing damage to the ceiling and a cabinet.
Several days later, Gossett was pulled over during a traffic stop but fled on foot, according to investigators.
Deputies found marijuana, two glass pipes and a plastic bag with eight pills when they searched Gossett's vehicle, the warrants allege.
