Wilton B. Poole, 88 - Travelers Rest

Wilton B. Poole, 88, of 17 Belvue School Rd. in Travelers Rest, passed away Tuesday, July, 1, 2014.

Born March 23, 1926, in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Landrum Hezzie and Carey Barbare Poole. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was retired from J.P. Stevens, Slater Plant, and was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Zonia Mae Hawkins Poole, of the home; sons: Jimmy Poole and his wife Alice, Junior Lee Poole and his wife Marie; and many loving grandchildren.

He was predeceased by brothers: Boyce, Rudford, Buford, James, and Carlos Poole; and a sister Lura Ellen McJunkin.

Graveside services will be Thursday morning at 11:30 am at Mountain View Memorial Park.
