Betty Bridges, 92, Marietta, wife of the late James R. Bridges, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday July 2, 2014.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late William V. and Flora Estelle Epps Waldrop. She was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Lane Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters: Myra Griggs (Eddie), Sissy Stroud (Rev. Joe) Berma Bell (Rev. Larry); son: Sonny Bridges (Patricia); brother: Harold Waldrop; grandchildren: Kevin Bell, Kerry Bell, Tripp Bridges (Libby), Casey Bridges (Naomi), Dustin Bridges, Chris Stroud (Carrie); great-grandchildren: Gabriel Bell, Michael Bell, Katelyn Bell, Cameron Bell, Ethan Crabtree, Wesley Bridges, Taylor Ann Bridges, Lila Bridges, Gideon Bridges, and Cameron Stroud.

She was predeceased by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 pm at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to be private.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Myra Griggs.
