Larry Joe Seigler, 79, of Travelers Rest went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 23, 2014.
Born in Anderson County, SC, he was the son of the late Tillman Seigler and the late Bessie Seigler Wofford. Mr. Seigler served in the National Guard Reserve; he was retired from Duke Power after 39 years; he was a member of The Lions Club, Travelers Rest Historical Society and the Duke Power Retirees; he served on both the Travelers Rest and Greenville County Planning Commission and he was a member of Clearview Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Steadfast Sunday School Class, started the church library and served as church treasurer and trustee.
Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Carol McKinney Seigler; two daughters, Julia Lee Denning (Dale) and Terri Anita Seigler; 1 son, Joe Michael Seigler; two step-children, Elizabeth Ann Singleton (Eric) and Sidney Lee Burns(Traci); 3 grandchildren, Lindsay S. Daniel (Brian), Ashley Coleman and Alyson Ivy Seigler and 1 great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 pm at the mortuary prior to the service.
