Local business owners recognize women of influence

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – At Thursday's Travelers Rest City Council meeting, Upcountry Provision owners Steve and Cheryl Kraus recognized three local business leaders who they said have helped to propel their small business forward and have been influential in the continued growth of the city of Travelers Rest.

The Krauses recognized Elizabeth “Betsy” Steifle of the Bank of Travelers Rest, Myra Ruiz of WYFF4, and Adrienne Hawkins, market manager for the Travelers Rest Farmers Market. Each recipient was presented with a plaque.

“We wanted to recognize the influence of these three women and extend a sincere thanks to each of them for all they have done for our business and other local businesses in this city of Travelers Rest,” Cheryl Kraus said.

Kraus also said that Upcountry Provisions will soon fly a flag designed to represent not only their love for the city, but also to serve as a "thank you" for all that the city administration and city council has done for the growing community.

“This is an opportunity to celebrate our business and the support the city of Travelers Rest has provided us over the last two years,” Kraus said.
