Letter: Thanks for taking the ALS challenge

To the Editor:

I wanted to send a note of thanks to Travelers Rest High School faculty members for taking the ALS Ice Water Challenge last week. My mother, who I would imagine taught some of the current students' grandparents and great grandparents, died with ALS 34 years ago.

"Thank you" to all the teachers and administrators who were willing to brave the ice water to bring attention to this devastating illness.
