Travelers Rest fire, police departments awarded $1K grants
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The Travelers Rest fire and police departments were recently awarded $1,000 grants as part of the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community program.
Each year, the Allstate Foundation awards about $2 million to nonprofit organizations across the country in honor of agency owners who give back to their communities.
Nominations for the fire and police department grants were in recognition of the community service efforts of local Allstate agent Quincy Tarrance .
“Grants like these assist us with our mission while easing the burden on taxpayer dollars," said Travelers Rest Police Chief Lance Crowe, adding that the money allows the agency to purchase items they may not otherwise be able to afford.
In recent months, North Greenville Food Crisis Ministry and the G.I.T. YMCA, among others, have been Tarrance's Hands in the Community grant nominees/recipients.
Tarrance owns Allstate of Travelers Rest, located at 6725A State Park Road in Travelers Rest. He can be reached at (864) 610-5050 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
