Police discover mobile meth lab in Travelers Rest parking lot

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Travelers Rest police discovered what they believe was a mobile meth lab in the trunk of a car on Monday morning.

Police Chief Lance Crowe said officers officers responding to a breach of trust call pulled over a suspect in the parking lot in front of the Miracle Hill Thrift Store on Roe Center Court in Travelers Rest.

Crowe said the man had an active Greenville County Sheriff's Office arrest warrant, and a search of the vehicle's trunk revealed the suspected mobile meth lab.

Greenville County Sheriff's Office meth lab technicians were called to the scene, and the suspected meth lab was disposed of by a SLED-contracted team based out of Columbia, Crowe said.
