Farmers Market to host contra dance, potluck dinner fundraiser Saturday

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The Travelers Rest Farmers Market will host a contra dance and potluck dinner fundraiser at Trailblazer Park on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 6 to 10 p.m. (Flier below.)

Attendees will enjoy a community style dinner made from local farmers and chefs and dance the night away to The Blue Ridge Rounders with Jenny Wakefield calling.

Don't know how to Contra Dance? A beginner lesson session will take place before the dance.

Tickets prices are $25 (adult, including T-shirt), $15 (adult, no T-shirt) and $5 (kids over one year of age). Tickets for kids include entry to the Contra Kids Adventure tent, which will feature activities led by Lynne Holcombe.

All proceeds will go to support the ongoing activities of the Travelers Rest Farmers Market, according to organizers.
